Having lived in DC for 21 years, I am continually excited by the rich and diverse culture, both hidden and widely celebrated, that the area offers. Despite being a transient location due to the influx of people traveling here for work, the heart of DC remains vibrant with delicious restaurants and cuisines, always providing something to do—or nothing at all, if you prefer. The ease of traveling from DC to Maryland and Virginia in just minutes makes it an ideal spot for experiencing multiple states without the need for a road trip. The art, museums, music, sports, and overall vibe make choosing to get married in, live in or visit DC a truly smart decision.
My name is Andrew and I’m a Proud Army Vet who happens to be a great DC Event and Wedding Planner! I like to call myself an Event Storyteller who is passionate about romantic weddings and engaging events.
I drink a lot of tea. Therefore, would fight you for some whiskey (kidding), love seafood, and was born in Miami so of course I LOVE TO HAVE FUN!!
Additionally, I’m a world traveler. I’ve been to 20 different countries and counting.
Within my 19 year career I have had the honor of working with brands such as The Knot, Munaluchi Bride, The CW, Simon Malls, The Art Institute, Northern Virginia Magazine, The City of Alexandria, VA, Vita Coco, Kind Snacks, and Honest Tea.
My work has been seen in Washingtonian Magazine, Modern Luxury, Wedding Chicks, Logo TV, CNN, Fox, Wedding Wire and many other leading publications.
Above all, I’m most proud of my work with some tremendous charities like Ms. Veteran America, Susan G. Komen, The Cinderella Foundation, and So Others Might Eat who dedicate their lives to helping others.
It’s not just about planning events. It certainly isn’t about me. It’s about making sure you get the best help to reach your bottom line.
Finally, events are more than just logistical work. It’s what happens before, during and after each event that resonates the most with our clients. This is why we have a 5 star rating. I’m super grateful.

WebsiteWhen I’m picking a hotel to stay at, I always look for what is around it. The less I have to spend on traveling to other places for things like dining and entertainment the better. The hotel has a great restaurant and rooftop bar options while the rooms are truly perfect overlooking the Potomac River. You are walking distance to 60 restaurants that include Hell’s Kitchen, ilili and Lamani. Bonus is that it is 9 minutes from Reagan Airport.
1330 Maryland Ave SW, Washington, DC 20024, USA
WebsiteIf you are looking for a resort feel that overlooks the Tidal Basin, there is no better hotel to choose than Salamander. The hotel comes with newly renovated suites and a spa. It hosts a vibrant Afro-Caribbean restaurant called DŌGON and I recommend you make a reservation in advance. Hotels like Salamander are what I would book when I want to restore my soul and really feel at ease when I am traveling. Lastly it is a 4 Diamond AAA Rating so you are guaranteed to be looked after from the moment you arrive.

WebsiteFor a younger audience, Eaton is my go to. It is a trendy hotel that offers so many hidden gems inside of it. From the speakeasy called Allegory to the monthly events they host for guests and the general public, you have it all. Eaton is a hotel that is built by the community, offers culture and wellness and all hotel guests have a bird’s eye view of what that means and feels like when they stay there.
403 H St NE, Washington, DC 20002, USA
WebsiteThe first time I visited this Caribbean street food restaurant I was blown away with the flavors in each of the dishes. It is one of the newer restaurants in the H Street Corridor and is a Michelin Bib Gourmand which means you get amazing food without having to spend a fortune.
675 15th St NW, Washington, DC 20005, USA
WebsiteThis restaurant is DC’s oldest saloon, but has far better food than what you would have eaten in 1856. They offer classic American food and have enough space should you want a private dining experience. Unlike many DC restaurants, Old Ebbitt also has a private rooftop terrace which is perfect for seeing fireworks on July 4th of New Year’s Eve.
122 Blagden Alley NW, Washington, DC 20001, USA
WebsiteSet in a former row house that looks like a contemporary farmhouse, the Dabney is a unique take on restaurants. It offers a 8-course tasting menu that really showcases the talent of Chef Jeremiah Langhorne and his team. I love this restaurant because of the at home vibes it gives while offering a menu based on our region. When you come here you are coming for the food and experience.
Georgetown, Washington, DC 20007, USA
WebsiteGeorgetown is a great mix of exploring, dining and window shopping. I’m not one for malls, but Georgetown offers a different vibe to shopping while also being able to see a different part of DC. You could stay there all day if you wanted to due to the waterfront cruises and taxes, to live entertainment, and amazing restaurants.
600 Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC 20560, USA
WebsiteDC is a place to enjoy so many things, but it is also our nation’s capital full of history. I would be remiss if I did not recommend the huge learning opportunity our museums offer. It’s not just past history but a showcase of recent and local artists that are featured.
620 T St NW, Washington, DC 20001, USA
WebsiteCatch live shows from local artists at venues like Howard Theatre, Union Stage, The Anthem or 930 Club. If you want to be immersed into DC you cannot visit and not check out local entertainment.
700 L'Enfant Plaza SW, Washington, DC 20024, USA
WebsiteI love the Spy museum due to its exclusive feel and its proximity to the Wharf waterfront. The Spy Museum is interactive and can easily be an activity for your attendees to participate in ahead of your event. It’s not like your traditional DC venues that have limited natural light as all of the event spaces are on the roof giving you the perfect view of the Wharf and a breathtaking view that spans from the Washington Monument to the U.S. Capitol.
1001 14th St NW, Washington, DC 20005, USA
WebsiteThis is the type of event space that speaks for itself. You don’t have to spend a large portion of your budget hiding the venue. It’s modern and offers a clean slate to do as much or as little as you like and it is connected to a hotel in case your party extends well into the morning hours.
950 New York Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001, USA
WebsiteFor guests who love shopping and dining within walking distance of their hotel, the Conrad is the absolute perfect destination. Housed in the heart of downtown DC, The Conrad offers a luxurious feel that is hard to compare to other venues you may have been to. They do not skimp on floor to ceiling windows that give you an incredible view of DC. It is a sleek venue that does not feel crowded or non-exclusive. I truly love that the ground floor is just for arrivals so that it does not get congested when you add arrivals and check in on the same level. Their ballrooms are absolutely captivating and allow you the perfect palette to do anything you desire.
