International Numbers

Having guests abroad? Wedping supports messaging to many countries, with automatic email fallback when SMS isn't available.

How It Works

When you add a guest with an international phone number, Wedping automatically checks whether their country is supported for SMS delivery. The UI handles country code selection for you — if you're importing via CSV, make sure to include the country code starting with +.

Supported vs. Unsupported Countries

If a guest's country is supported, they'll receive text messages just like domestic guests. If their country isn't supported for SMS, Wedping automatically falls back to delivering the message via email. No action needed on your part — just make sure the guest has an email address on file.

Email Fallback

When a guest receives a message via email fallback, the email contains the same content as the text message. To make sure email fallback works, add an email address for any guests with international numbers.

You can add or update email addresses from the guest list at any time.

Formatting International Numbers

International phone numbers must start with a + followed by the country code. A few examples:

United Kingdom+44 7911 123456
Australia+61 412 345 678
India+91 98765 43210
