Scheduling Messages

Don't want to send everything right now? Wedping lets you schedule messages to go out at the perfect time — great for RSVP reminders, day-of timelines, and more.

How to Schedule a Message

  1. Navigate to the Messages tab and click + New Message.
  2. Compose your message and select your recipients (just like sending a regular text blast).
  3. Instead of clicking Send, toggle the Schedule option.
  4. Pick a date and time for delivery.
  5. Click Schedule Message to confirm.

Your message will be queued and sent automatically at the scheduled time.

Great Uses for Scheduled Messages

RSVP reminders

Schedule a gentle nudge a week before your RSVP deadline. Include a link to your RSVP page so guests can respond right from the text.

Day-of updates

Schedule a morning-of message with the day's timeline, parking details, or weather updates. Set it up the night before and let it go out automatically.

Save-the-date follow-ups

After sending your initial save-the-date, schedule a follow-up a few weeks later with more details or a link to your wedding website.

Thank-you messages

Schedule a thank-you message to go out the day after your wedding while you're still on cloud nine.

Managing Scheduled Messages

You can view, edit, or cancel scheduled messages from the Messages tab. Scheduled messages are labeled with their send date and time.

  • Edit: Click on a scheduled message to update the content, recipients, or send time.
  • Cancel: Delete a scheduled message anytime before its send time. Once it's been sent, it can't be recalled.

FAQs & Common Gotchas

Time zones

Each scheduled message has its own time zone setting, which defaults to your event's time zone. You can change it per message if needed — just make sure to double-check before confirming.

Adding guests after scheduling

If you add new guests to a group after scheduling a message to that group, the new guests will be included when the message sends. The recipient list is evaluated at send time, not when you schedule.
