Importing Your Guest List from Postable
Collected addresses with Postable? Export your address book and upload it to Wedping as is. We convert it for you, keeping households, partners, children and addresses.
Step 1: Export Your Contacts from Postable
- Open Contacts on Postable.
- Click Options, then Export contacts.
- Save the file. Don't edit it first.
Step 2: Upload to Wedping
- Open your event's Guest List page and click Import guests.
- Click Upload File and choose the file you exported.
- When we ask where your list is from, choose Postable.
- Review your guests, then click Add to list.
What Carries Over
Every person in a contact
Postable keeps a partner and children on one contact. Each person becomes their own guest in Wedping, linked together so one person can RSVP for everyone.
Partners' contact details
A partner's own email and phone number go to the partner, not the main contact.
Children
Children carry over as guests with the family's last name and are marked as children.
Groups
Each Postable group becomes a group in Wedping.
Addresses
Everyone in a contact shares its address. Postal codes that lost a leading zero in Excel are fixed.
Good to Know
Your address book may have more than your guests
Postable keeps every contact you've ever added. Uncheck anyone who isn't invited in the preview before you import.
Always check the preview
The conversion uses AI. It works well, but it isn't perfect. Nothing is added until you confirm.
Importing again is safe
Guests that match someone already on your list, by phone, email, or name, are updated instead of added twice.
