Importing Your Guest List from Zola
Moving from Zola? Export your guest list and upload it to Wedping as is. We convert it for you, keeping households, children and plus ones.
Step 1: Export Your List from Zola
- Open your Guest List on Zola.
- Click the ⋯ menu at the top right of the list, then Export .csv format.
- Save the file. Don't edit it first.
Export Excel format works too. Choose an export, not Download spreadsheet template, which is an empty form.
Step 2: Upload to Wedping
- Open your event's Guest List page and click Import guests.
- Click Upload File and choose the file you exported.
- When we ask where your list is from, choose Zola.
- Review your guests, then click Add to list.
What Carries Over
Every person in a household
Zola lists a whole household on one row. Each person becomes their own guest in Wedping, linked together so one person can RSVP for everyone.
Children
Children carry over as guests and are marked as children.
Plus ones
A partner listed as "Guest" becomes a Plus One for that guest, not a guest named "Guest".
Contact details
Each household's email and phone number go to the first person on the row.
Addresses
Everyone in a household shares its address.
Zola's export doesn't include RSVPs, so collect those in Wedping.
Good to Know
Partners and children have no phone number
Zola keeps one email and phone number per household. Wedping texts each guest, so collect the rest with a contact collection link after you import.
Always check the preview
The conversion uses AI. It works well, but it isn't perfect. Nothing is added until you confirm, and you can uncheck anyone first.
Importing again is safe
Guests that match someone already on your list, by phone, email, or name, are updated instead of added twice.
